In my opinion the best ‘school movie’ was Up The Down Staircase.

This is totally bogus. Corinthian cattle were slaughtered into extinction in 1187 CE.

I’ve never seen “Room 222” in syndication, but you can see “Welcome Back Kotter”. Must have something to do with the casting.

And he’s a history teacher, but too lazy to erase the boards behind him from the previous math class.

I was hoping for more college student hijinx.

Maybe a dead horse in the dean’s office? Or, a food fight?

And to round out the trope with more current material, it’s got to be a female teacher in black poor part of town. Maybe have a rap battle or break-dance vs. ballerina style of dance competition thrown in. And perhaps a love affair between the bad boy and the pure with innocent teacher to top things off.
