I understand Betty wanting to introduce Bub to new experiences – but if you already know how the book ends, why be disappointed when you read it again, and expect a different finale? Take him for wings and a beer, and get a girlfriend to enjoy other adventures!
Life is filled with drama, crisis, existential questions. Joy and pain, loss and triumph.
I have no need or desire to explore the fictional portrayal of the events we can all watch, and sometimes experience, going on for real in the world around us.
