I’m sure it’s not the gross part of the monkey.

“Return of the Pink Panther” 1975…

CLOUSEAU: There was some question as to whether the beggar or his minkey was breaking the law.

    DREYFUS: Minkey?

    CLOUSEAU: What?

    DREYFUS: You said minkey.

Monkeys are always active. I’m sure monkeys would be an active ingredient.

The monkeys are just included to help cover up the taste of the active ingredient. Badgers’ noses are dreadfully bitter.

FUN FACT. The FDA allows up to .05% monkey bits in all foods and drugs.

When my mother got tired of being asked “what’s for dinner?” she’d sometimes say “monkey tails”. Sometimes it was kangaroo tails. I eventually caught on (I was REALLY little), but the first time it really surprised me ’cuz I used to go grocery shopping with her and never say monkeys in the cart. Or the store, for that matter.

Yes, Mom did say “monkeys,” Petey. I think she was just testing your alertness. I hope….

…It smelled like turpentine, it looked like Indian ink… I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink… (Love Potion #9)…
