Soda goes the weasel? Doesn’t work.

Today’s strip makes me say (once again), “God Bless all of our teachers! Thank you for all that you do for kids!”

Recent news stories spotlight how many are also going beyond the call of duty, reaching out to help within the school family, to get through the C-virus challenges.

“Then for you I have a surprise unannounced quiz that counts double if you don’t take it.”

“We’re having a pop quiz, you are having a full blown test”

Right. Why don’t you go to the library and write me a 20 page report on “soda-pop.”

Today would be a good day for a lesson on regional language differences. Is it a sofa, couch or davenport? Is it a hoodie, hoody or bunnyhug? Soda, pop, or Coke?

The Batman/Superman animated universe from the 1990’s they have “Soder” which we first heard it thought it was some regional pronunciation till one episode we saw it spelt that way on a street advertisement.

And it’s an essay test.

In my day she would be “off to the principal’s office”.
