Remakes just never hold up to the originals. They try to duplicate but forget the original reflects that time period and is what made the original so good. Then is not
You usually can tell when a show is coming to an end when everything starts to work out. Nowadays streaming services make it ok all the time or never ok. But, it’s just TV and has nothing to do with reality. And if it does not have an eventual happy ending it won’t last in syndication [St. Elsewhere] but a happy ending will include syndication, spinoffs, merchandise and DVD sales. Or reruns on PBS begging sessions [Downton Abbey]

Well, you could always get on that web site that a certain pirate, called Mike, might go on. You could download all of those shows.
