He just developed an abscess in his bank account

I am thankful that I live in a time where dentistry and optometry are so advanced.

I know the office manager of a dental office, it’s a pretty busy operation. I once made a guess at her dentist’s monthly overhead; I said $50,000 per month. She was impressed; telling me that I was just about spot on.

They’re OUTRAGEOUS! Do you want to become rich Quick? Be a dentist!

NO fooling. $357 for pulling ONE TOOTH?

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

My dentist said he always preferred to give his difficult patients a good whiff of laughing gas before presenting them with their bill.

Must be a third world country without national health/single payer.

What retirement plan? After that bill there will be none.

There’s not enough novacaine for that.

I look forward to dental equipment which does 3D printing in situ.

(Of course, I’ll probably be down to one tooth by then, but…)

Jim Unger died in 2012…so if you want to call that a “hiatus”, or a “vacation”, fine – he’d probably have appreciated your creative use of the language. So this is simply this week’s example (and there’s rarely a week without one) of GoComics dropping the ball on its reprints and repostings.

I guess another comic has reached retirement.

Looks like the comics license is up for renewal and they didn’t pay the bill on time.

I’m too lazy to click back, but in addition to being repeated the last few days, I remember this same strip being posted not that long ago – maybe June …

I contacted GoComics to see if they have discontinued showing Herman comics. If they get back to me with an explanation, I’ll let you know.
