Our dog and two cats do the same thing. Where I live the high temperatures and humidity has made for a difficult summer.

Yes, it’s true. I’m a fan of Louie’s. (Couldn’t resist.)

I have two fans pointed toward me right now, a desk fan in front of me, and a box fan about 8 feet to my right.

Lucky dog. I might not be a savant, but isn’t it cooler on the water anyways? I mean the water absorbs some of the heat instead of the heat bouncing off the pavement in the city. Ohh to be a pirate in these dog days of summer.

Sometimes you just have that gift!

I do the same thing in my bedroom. I’m at least as smart as Louie!

We all learn what’s important and relevant for us. For instance, I don’t know much Spanish, but I DO know “A donde el bano, ahorita?!? Por favor!”

It’s called common sense….something that is missing in today’s world.

It’s called instinct.

Does Louie do that in order to cool down or to make sure everybody gets the “Lab” smell? (or both?)

Moxie prefers to nap on the AC vent in the kitchen.

My cat knows exactly where to lie to get the amount of air he likes. Cats do not like air blowing directly on them, so he lies farther away.

… and in that awesome rest pose, with arms and legs straight up, Louie can make sure the cool air hits all those hard-to-reach places.
