Dill is great.

You, @ least, Alice, won’t miss the Squeezie Pop. It was that flavor nobody wants (Smoked Anchovy)!

If Alice was aiming for the International Space Station, she’s going to have to squeeze a little harder. Nice take-off, though.

Which means that Dills yard is stupid too? Since they’re all the same..?

Looks like a licorice pop! I want a licorice pop! (unlikely though, since it’s not in the Nordic countries)

Petey should be glad the squeeze pop is not his head.

The Mom said the front yard is stupid?

You know Alice was ad-libing Mom’s words. When you’re mad everything is stupid.

This is STUPID! Alice in panel 3 is mimicking a Peanuts kid’s expression with that wide open mouth. Dill offered just the right amount of salt in her psychic wound: adoration (of Alice for Andre) crushed is so STUPID!

I predict a very rough life ahead for Alice.

I guess it’s true, almost all little kids up to a certain age are basically sociopaths. And certainly solipsistic.

Squeezie Pop, we hardly knew ye.

Andre would be interested in his comic books since they were at comic book camp. Alice doesn’t have any shoes or socks on, if she steps on that Squeezie pop it will be cold and sticky, and when she decides to walk back in the house her mom will just shake her head knowing she should have known better.

I think Alice has lost her grip on things!

Why is the squuezie pop black?

Having observed his brother’s cumulative front yard artistry over the years, I can see how Dill’s opinion of Alice’s would settle on stupid.

Wasn’t there one strip that should come before this where Alice confirms rumors of Petey’s playdate to her friends and they talk amongst themselves in disbelief “Consternation and hubbub…!”
