In “War of the Worlds,” the aliens were defeated by a common virus. If there is no intelligent life in the universe the COVID virus could be at fault. And that would also explain why we only experience a 2% fatality rate.
2020 is the best argument against being kidnapped by aliens. Would they really want us? However, if they want to take over the world, this might be the best year for that.
