I have a new Ford hybrid. It was less expensive than my old Chevy Impala. My daughter is on her second hybrid. You should keep it fully charged for emergencies such as Gent suggests. However, if it runs out of charge, it automatically switches to gas. I have had the car since May and have yet to add any gas to the full tank the dealership gave me.
When millions of people have bought eletric cars get ready for the blackouts when they all plug them in at night time. The price of electricity will sky rocket (supply and demand), not enough green energy is available to produce the extra electricity so they will use fossil fuels to produce it and to top it off the highly polluting batteries only have an 8 year life span. People are so very short sighted.
The electric cars maybe safer, but the environmentalists aren’t going to be too happy with us. Since, it uses electricity and they say, we use too much as it is.

That’s why i still drive a 76 F-150 Ziggy. The price of new cars and trucks are outrageous. The electric ones are even worse.

The thing wrong with electric cars is finding an extension cord long enough.

Do they come with a built-in UPS inverter in case there’s power failures?

I read in a firefighting article that says you could use up to 3000 gallons of water and take a day to put out a Tesla fire
