    The money doesn’t go directly to the people being brainwashed. It is the rich who buy radio and television stations which broadcast propaganda designed to convince the masses to elect those politicians who will write laws that enable the rich to stay rich. And, it’s working really well, or there wouldn’t have been anyone with the intelligence to find a polling station who would have voted for Trump.

    Civil servants are the great “flywheel” that the keeps the country going through changes of political administration. The British series “Yes, Minister” and “Yes, Prime Minister” depicted the continual negotiations between elected and administrative officials necessary to keep a country going, despite the “policy de jeure”.
