Let’s see. Earth is about 24,000 miles in circumference at the equator. Divide by 5 mph walking speed is 4,800 hours. Divide by 8 walking hours per day is about 600 days that puts you in the neighborhood of 1 year and 7 months. Either your guy is a fast walker or he has great endurance to walk more than 8 hours per day. But point taken – at some point he will be back to restate his edict.
go to New York City, take a powerful telescope to the top of the tallest building and look for Europe. If you can’t see it then either Europe does not exist, or the earth is not flat.
You might be able to walk half way around the Earth if by that you planned to walk from pole to pole. You’d have to walk south during the northern winter to avoid any open water, would be a long trek down the Rockies to central America, I guess you could walk across the Panama canal in some places, they must have a bridge or cross over for the people living there. The southern end of Panama into northern Columbia is a swampy jungle with very unfriendly inhabitants that you would have to avoid, then south along the base of the Andes to the tip of Argentina. You would need a work-around to get to Antarctica, maybe a rowboat could count, then a cold trek to the south pole. The equatorial route would be jungle, desert, mountains and mostly ocean, a LOT of ocean in fact.

345 days later… he repeats his statement!
(BTW – that is how long it would take to walk around the world.)

Considering he does live in a cartoon world drawn on a peace of paper… Yeah he is on a flat world/Earth.

The strip disproved that back in the ’60s.

Don’t argue. Don’t engage. Just keep peeling your own potatoes. I don’t have enough time or money to waste any on a big load of “who cares”.

That hoax has been disproven long ago. If the earth was flat there’d nothing on it, cause the cats would knocked everything long ago.

Guess which option is the correct one.
