Forget chips. PC liked fried pork rinds. They rattled when batted, you could gnaw on they, and they were are good a year later as when fresh. Interesting, no insect, mouse or any other creature ever disturbed a wayward pork rind.
My cat will eat bits of tortilla chips but would never take one unless offered. I had another cat who preferred bits of cookie. Several kittens always wanted to lick the oatmeal bowl when I was done, even though I used coconut milk. Cats vary.

You left it unguarded – the Mittens had to test it to make sure it was edible. At least that’s the excuse I get when my chips go missing.
