I haven’t had to put myself into whatever amount of covid-contact a store would give me, except for groceries, in… quite awhile. I like it.

I’d like to think we learned something from this or developed a bit of a social conscience. Like from now on (post covid) if you got the sniffles and must go to work or out in public, wear a mask!

I live on a rather narrow street. Caulfield’s friend’s dilemma has struck: FedEx was pointed in one direction while UPS was facing the other, which might have been manageable except the Amazon truck and USPS van between them were already at odds with each other. I drank a beer with the neighbor lady while her husband blew his car horn: he was afraid he would be late for work. meanwhile, at the end of the mess, an old lady sat blowing her car horn expecting the UPS truck to move over so she could exit the neighborhood. Someone had to call in the local deputy to direct the angry jackasses as to how to straighten out the mess. Best three beer episode I have seen in ages. My neighbor lady thinks everyone should ride bicycles to solve the traffic problems, but me, I’ll just keep walking everywhere.

that would have been a great job for those that are laid off because of the pandemic…delivery services hiring more drivers for Christmas gifts delivery so that they will get to the people on time!

I remember going downtown on December 24th with a cold picnic dinner and finding a seat and just laughing at all the people going crazy in that last minute frenzy. Haven’t done that in about a decade. I miss it but don’t miss it.

If they were wearing masks would help it.

I grew up when downtown was where everyone shopped. My kids grew up in the Mall era. My grandkids are watching the malls die, and doing their shopping online.
