People ask God for contradictory things. Yet people are happy to believe that God answered their prayers when their wish was granted instead of the opposite wish from other people. This is probably the best argument I have seen to show:
How many centuries will it take so-called ‘Bible teachers’ to admit that God is a tribe spelled גד? Bad, intentionally misleading translations have lead throngs of Bible thumpers to the wrong rabbit conclusion abut the true nature of G-d . What the NKJV lists as ‘Gad’ (pronouced Gawd or God) and Gadites possibly fit well into a referee’s tasks… in my Gadite opinion. However the leader of the tribe of God/Gd surely would not be a figure skater, since G-d’s team has to be skilled at defense as well as being able to work with his brother. Don’t go figure.G-d can compete in hockey… no doubt about that.

Vaguely remembered from an old John Wayne war movie (picture John Wayne wearing the army helmet with netting) and classic John Wayne drawl…
Chaplain: “You seem deep in thought, my son.”
John Wayne “Just thinking about tomorrow’s battle, Father.”
Chaplain: “Never fear, my son… after all, The Lord is our shepherd!”.
John Wayne: “Oh yeah, Padre? Well I can’t help but think He’s their shepherd too.”

1. No such thing as a God that answers prayers
2. People are superstitious
3. People are selfish
