The Norwegians say, (translated), “there is no bad weather, only bad clothes”. I lived out there for awhile and they are wrong. Sometimes it is !@!!&^# COLD!
I remember those days as a kid….gray, COLD, raw days. You go outside to see what develops (y’know, to see who else is outside doin’ what) and you hang around for a while to see 1. if you’re having fun and 2. if you’re having ENOUGH fun to continue standing outside while your nose runs and you can’t feel it or your fingers, waterproof mittens notwithstanding. Then you go inside, get the MIckey Mouse club on and have some hot chocolate while the lights come on. So…those days weren’t ALL bad!
i grew up in Providence RI and one Saturday my friends and i were in the center of downtown Providence having a snowball fight and the bank temperature read ‘-19’

Oh the wind is lashing lustily And the trees are thrashing thrustily And the leaves are rustling gustily So it’s rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be Feels that it will undoubtedly It looks like a rather blustery day, today
