Saved by Grog.
Just goes to show that evolutionary wise over the birds and reptiles, it helps to have an arm growing out the side of your head.
Never under estimate Grog !
Don’t be too “happy.”
You’re about to become Grog’s dinner.
I like the detail in the strip. It even has sand dropping down on Grog.
Next, Grog sets him down by discus throw. John eventually lands (after several low earth orbits) just in time for his next line.
What they should have done in the first place?
The best solution is usually the simplest solution – that’s Grog – he’s a pretty simple (basic) guy.
Grog here seems kind of like a ghostbuster.
♫ “If there’s something wrong in your neighborhood – who ya gonna call?” ♫ “Grog – caveman!”
“Brute strength and ignorance” as the saying goes, tempered by a heart of gold…..
Little does he know that Grog is carrying him away to make tortoise stew.
I love fingers! Thumbs are cool too.
Turtle saved by an act of Grog!
Saved by a foomp and Grog.
To put it in the words of Grog: “Gronk!”
Grog help…
Grog to the rescue.
LOL! Now put me down gently, cave man!
Now, then. What’s Grog going to do with him?
Using the right tool for the right job makes things easier. I’m still not sure what Grog is the right tool for, but I’m pretty sure he is a tool.
Got to give the Apteryx credit.. he (?) did realize his wings were not up to flying.. or flipping turtles and called for help.
Not for John.
Turtle stuck Grog move.
the right tool for the job and…
I just realized tortoises probably have no sense of balance; why would they need it? He would only know he was upside down based on the forces on his body.
Time for tortoise soup.
FOOMP
I love comic sound effects.
It’s easier to pull someone out of a sand dune if you have arms. Not so easy just with legs
Grog: “GROG!” (translated: Tortoise soup…yum!)
Tortoise" " Oh shi….". (translated: " Oh shi….)
