Neither one is “smarter,” just different. Women have left/right connection and can think in several directions at once. Men have divided brains and are able to focus intently on the situation at hand.
That’s the nice thing about SF fandom: no need to hide our intellect. We ladies get to be smart and look stunning in a corset, and it’s treated as a common occurrence.
I am admittedly conflicted. I want the same consideration and equal income opportunities as the guy that went thru the same school, got the same grades and then applied for the same job as me. I DO like it when my man opens doors for me, walks on the road side, stands in front of me if feeling confronted, offers (doesn’t have to follow thru, most times I am fine on my own but the OFFER goes a million miles) to do the harder things.
No, if you want to be treated as equal quit acting like prima donnas! You are a woman, just like the other 3.8 billion, the only difference being your personality. Most are lovable and nice, caring. Then there is you and the spoiled western ‘hollywood’ thinking saying they want to be equal and strive hard to slam men at every turn. You want to be equal, start acting like it.
Hello—Grammar Police here—If you’re going to say “us women…” you need to continue with “us ought to…” Being consistent isn’t that difficult. Letting you off with a warning this time.

How about men start becoming as smart as us instead?

How simple are you to advertise this in public?

You can have the best of both worlds. If you are smart and kind, you’ll have smart and kind people, both men and women, around you.

It doesn’t seem smart to me. Maybe that’s because I don’t belong to the smart gender.

You are an ignorant sexist, dear Aunty.

If “us women” were really smart we would say “we women” because we know proper grammar.

“Us Women…?” Your grammar does little to convince.

“We” women not “us” women — nominative case, not subjective. Not very smart.

Too late. The men caught on, and now run around calling themselves women.
