The most amazing part about this comic strip is that Michael and Elizabeth did not know it was Mother’s Day.

My grandson mows my lawn for pay, but it’s worth it to see him behind the mower. Of course, I still have to do everything else.

What a let down, I thought they were doing all that without the usual complaining because it was Mother’s Day.

Sorry to burst a bubble with the comedy of this strip but the kids should not be thinking they’d be paid. The chores they are doing are everyday chores their mother does on a daily basis and she receives no pay at all. Thus, I say “Happy Mother’s Day” to all mother’s doing thankless jobs.

Did your parents ever get paid cleaning after you Lizzy and Micheal? And cook for you everyday. Consider this as a nonpayment and the unconditional love they provide for them.

They both spontaneously had the same idea (they never agree on anything) to do something they’d never done before, and it just happened to be on Mothers Day?
