Water dogs tend to smell more and more pungent than other types due to their dual coats and oil production. Except for curly haired water dogs like Portuguese Water Dogs and others. Short haired dogs like Chihuahuas and Pugs and Dalmatians and Dobermans and Great Danes tend not to smell so much, long hairs tend to smell more. YMMV.

You’re the one who should bath him, Red. Don’t blame the pupper for your laziness.

Bathes in space are hardly possible, they are luxury!

It can happen to anyone shut in one place for a long time.
You may not notice your own smell, but others will.

Both together as well, and we know how acute a dogs nose is, so worse for him….

Who knew outer space could be so stinky?

I know what my Rugby can smell like, so if Rover is telling Red he stinks, wowser, I want zero part of that.

Perhaps an unfortunate selection of space kibble is the problem.

The Gemini capsule was retired before his parents were born. I think Red could upgrade

And whose fault is it for only bringing Mexican food on that flight?

Astronauts receive special training in not talking about the smells of spaceflight.

It would have been even funnier if they both said that at the same time… :)
