    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny, of all the places on earth Venice is not a good location , too many canals for our HERO Mr Andrew Capp to fall into, he should visit Malta because we have no canals ,only sea water and you can float better in salt water :o) my avatar is again Mr Bean grinning from ear to ear because he is happy like I am , how was your day? our Manic Monday should be busy as our Mondays usually are , but we should cope I hope , we both are in a good mood , no errands to run and expecting no visitors and ll I have to worry is my specs steaming up when I have to wear a face mask :o) keep safe and thanks for caring pal. PS I never knew that cats snore , Bella does

    Never leave a challenge untaken. “Come on man”. “Here’s the deal”. What’s the worse thing that could happen. And there could be more than one correct answer.

    Here’s a thought on language and money. When I was a little boy (early 1960s) the term “half a dollar” meant the same as “half a crown”, and therefore meant an eighth of a GB Pound (two shillings and sixpence, who needs decimal?). I believe it’s a WW2 usage, when the exchange rate was about 4 USD to the GBP. Here’s Andy Capp using the same term.https://archive.cartoons.ac.uk/GetMultimedia.ashx?db=Catalog&fname=AC2000.jpg

    I’m surprised he said that, he’s always seemed attracted to canals.

    Another place I would LOVE to visit. But in Andy’s case, I think he has a point.

    @Afficionado

    Hey, Affie. Your Mr Bean avatar gives me life!

    Today has been a rainy, dull day but it’s also been rather cosy if that makes sense. So I didn’t mind. Not one bit of sun though.

    I don’t plan on going anywhere this week. But that may change. My Mum is getting her 2nd COVID vaccine on the 8th.

    Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal.

    Even Henry Jones, Jr. and Elsa Schneider had a fun time in the Venetian canals… when trying to get away the Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword.

    I saw a Looney Tunes cartoon set in Venice where Sylvester got eaten by a shark. I don’t know if there are actually sharks in Venice, but if there are, that’s another good reason for Andy to avoid Venice.

    Hey, gang? I ran a search and Hartlepool has no canal. If you know otherwise, do tell.

    The canals would be warmer but I suppose deeper and filthier.
