Question: What did Gavin Newsom say each time he violated COVID restrictions he imposed on the common citizen and small businesses in the state.

“Who doesn’t?” Everyone else in the world…

Impostors.

I gotta be me, though I wish I could be anyone else.

It might stop a lot of arguments to be able to change every so often.

It sounds great, but too often people use it as an excuse, as in:

“This is just the way I am (I can’t change).” or …

“This is the way that God made me, and God doesn’t make mistakes.”

… This could be used to justify just about anything someone does.

When people say that I’m full of myself I have to wonder who else I should have in there

it’s good he decided to volunteer…

Ahh! The pure joy of not living in a dictatorship or communist regime.

I’m more like me than I’ve ever been.

I’m more like I am now than I was when I first came in.

I don’t have to be you.

I gotta be me, but my internal GPS is constantly recalculating.

Song of the 60’s and 70’s who are now in their 70’s and 80’s and maybe just beginning to understand how "I gotta be me_ actually turned out.

Nobody else is gonna do it . . .

When Ernie responds to Frank’s “I gotta be me” with “Who doesn’t?”,

… does that mean Ernie is implying that everyone has to be ‘Frank’?

… as in “Who doesn’t gotta be Frank?”

Some people where I used to work had this sign in their offices:

“Always be yourself.

Unless you can be Batman.

Then be Batman.”

The best response I’ve heard to that attitude:
