Like most dogs (or people), it could be selective hearing.

I need some help here; english is not my native tongue, and i have always wondered about the term “whisperer”, as in ghost whisperer or dog whisperer or clown whisperer (a la Big Top)..

I assume it’s not a person that whispers, so is it like a psychoanalyst of a sort..? or just a person with a talent for advise..?

Any comment would be very appreciated, thanks

Radelape: Sounds to me like you’ve got it pretty much figured out. I think it all started with “The Horse Whisperer” and spiraled out of control from there.

Radelape, I agree with Khard 12. They are like a psychoanalyst, as they have an ability to help with behavior problems and seem to have something about them that makes animals comfortable with them and then the whisperer can often correct negative issues.

Cats listen, but they’re too smart to obey.
