Well, for the Republican* ‘originalists’, especially those on the Supreme Court, the Preamble is not really part of the Constitution, but the 3/5 clause IS, in the original. So the domestic tranquility and general welfare stuff applies ONLY to Real Americans and NOT to any of Those People.
And, of course, the second half of the second amendment trumps the domestic tranquility anyway.
Well the Orange One has one distinguishing accomplishment from his Presidency, I believe he is the first President who has broken each and every precept.
“Oh, well! Let’s just go back to mumbling inanities while frolicking aimlessly over the same old mesas and arroyos in the same half dozen stock poses.”
Through decades of incompetence, party first, and kowtowing to the special interests and big business lobbyists, the GOP has gladly assumed the title of the American Taliban.
Stantisfernuthin’, he might be pointing to the part about the legalization of slavery ( (you know, “pursuit of happiness”), which a bunch of people on your team would still be supporting, if it were lawful……………..an’ fer the clown, who so ineptly points out that is was the Dems, who supported slavery, the 2 parties have completely flip-flopped at Barry Goldwater……………….right-wing populists?:
