Oh look, the USA is supposed to be a welfare state.

Well, for the Republican* ‘originalists’, especially those on the Supreme Court, the Preamble is not really part of the Constitution, but the 3/5 clause IS, in the original. So the domestic tranquility and general welfare stuff applies ONLY to Real Americans and NOT to any of Those People.

And, of course, the second half of the second amendment trumps the domestic tranquility anyway.

If you mean freedom of speech, me deciding not to give my money to businesses that use it for reprehensible things is MY freedom of speech.

Well the Orange One has one distinguishing accomplishment from his Presidency, I believe he is the first President who has broken each and every precept.

I once heard to be wary of any ideology ending in “-ism;” i-s-m = I, self, and me.

At first my eye insisted on seeing “We”. It took me forever to see the “Me”.
