Trash Demons? How dare you? They are Recycling Demo . . . er, Raccoons, I mean. Raccoons who are recycling specialists. Yeah, just ask them (if you can get close enough).

Trash Pandas? Demons? I see Mouse already has a testy relationship with the Raccoons.

I love that adorable little “Swat” in the last panel—a one-fang one as well!

It’s less than two hours until my birthday. This whole story arc is like a birthday present! :D

Love seeing Angus as the "CN retro reporter emeritus. Being that he was an adult reporter in 1979, it is apparent he was quite the distinguished elder statesman in the early ’90s.

Baba Mouse is definitely in that transition mode between the ’80s with its fashion and the “Valley Girl” presence (BTW, pretty good coming of age movie with Nicholas Cage but about 10 years before Baba Mouse was on camera here) and the grunge era of the early to mid ’90s which was engulfing youth culture possibly with a bit of 90210 with her reporting attire. Geez, I miss those days!

Speaking of Scotts, Marie has us watching Outlander on tv, to which our college student pointed out that it was nothing but soft-core porn for old people. Anyway, I have always liked the Scotts and have always wanted to visit Scotland. One of these days.

Having lived in the 90s, I don’t know if I’d call it a “cynical time” myself…especially with consideration of the level of cynicism of today…

And now, a conversation between Mrs. Malaprop and Lady Mondegreen

Mrs. Malaprop: Lady Mondegreeen, I understand you went star grazing last night.

Lady Mondegreen: Yes. I saw a plaid moon rising. There was a bathroom on the right.

Mrs. Malaprop: And I’ll bet you used a state of the cart telephone.

Lady Mondegreen: Yes. In the naked light I saw ten thousand people make a call!

Mrs. Malaprop: Did you hear the rumor about Lucy getting enraged?

Lady Mondegreen: Really? I thought I saw Lucy and this Guy with Diamonds!

Mrs. Malaprop: Will I see you too moral?

Lady Mondegreen: Sure will. I’m gonna sing a song on the patio, man!

No, Bea, Baba Mouse understood the true nature of the vile racoons. You need to learn that they care nothing for the enviroment as they claim. They like to make themselves look innocent so you never see what their really doing until it’s too late.
