For what it’s worth, I masked up early on in the pandemic, and continued doing so for a while after I got both of my Pfizer vaccines. Recently I figured that since the infection rates were dropping in my area I could start forgoing the mask every now and then. Of course, earlier this week I would up getting sick for the first time in over a year.
Now that I’m vaxxed up, I keep my cloth mask when I go out. I put it on when I’m in the store or the bank, the farmer’s market or the library. But when I’m just getting my steps in, I have it off. But I am flying to Iowa this October for the memorial service of my sister in law’s mother (who passed away in March of 2020 at 94). And I will definitely be wearing my mask on the plane. Even if we do succeed in getting most of the hesitant vaxxed by then (I am hopeful we will), it will be the start of cold and flu season. So I will be wearing a mask regardless. Last winter, the flu transmission rate was the lowest in decades because of so many people wearing masks. And some experts are saying that some strains of the flu may go extinct because of mask wearing.
I’ve heard do the NIH invented the delta variant to kill off conservatives so Trump won’t get re-elected. Stop the Deep State’s attempt to steal your franchise! Get vaccinated!

We should have thought up that tactic long ago! “The government’s coming for your masks!”

They don’t want masks or vaccines but will drink bleach. ERs saw and uptick in bleach poisonings. And then they wonder why we think they are morons.

Defiance just for the sake of being defiant. It’s not a conservative or liberal thing; it’s a human thing.

When we’re told we don’t have to wear masks, I’m going to come to work in a Lucho Libre wrestler mask.
