And it tastes just as good. There is a real-life message here.Does anyone remember saving Popsicle Pete wrappers and all the toys and stuff you could get? One summer I sent in 50 popsicle wrappers and 50 cents and they mailed me a hunting knife with a 6" blade. I wore it, in its case, on my belt every day, all summer long ( probably not to church). Life was simpler in the 1950s.
I live in the UK. Our ice cream vans usually play jingles which appeal to children but I have heard some ice cream plans play “The Harry Lime Theme” from “The Third Man”. This is a popular and catchy piece of music but a rather grown up one as it is from a PG-rated thriller.
I never heard of Popsicle Pete before. Or Carvel Ice Cream either. We lived in Chicago, and there might have been those two, but in other areas of the city. We did have the Good Humor Man and we would wait for him to come along. Really good ice cream and he carried popsicles as well. Ahh, memories!

Thank God the pavement has cooled enough so they can run on it with bare feet and paws without hurting themselves.
