A couple of years ago I was riding my bike when I slipped on ice and sprained my hamstring. It was dark and cold out and I couldn’t move a single step. I used my cell phone to call an ambulance. Now I feel very uncomfortable going out without the phone.
Hubby has a cell phone. I have an ancient flip-phone, but I can’t remember the number, so I just tell folks I don’t have one; I generally leave it in the car. There are only three people who have that number – Hubby, Eldest Daughter, and my BFF.
I once went to the store and forgot my wallet at home, no big deal as I could still pay with my phone. Once I left the house without my phone, and had to turn back.
I regularly lose my phone in the house. Eventually it makes a noise that I can trace. Or I’ll go over to a neighbor’s and ask them to keep calling until I pick up. I’ve left it in some strange places. Never had this problem with the tetherphone on the wall.

It’s a wonder the human race even got this far.

I don’t own one of those things and it hasn’t bothered me a single bit.

I don’t leave the house without my cellphone. I just wish there was a safer (for the phone) way of carrying it; so a fall doesn’t break the phone.

We go camping in an area that has no cell coverage. It’s great.

40 years never needed to leave home without a phone. Now, panic sets in when I forget it!! Also, I usually have my shopping list on it, LOL!

I was born in an era when phone signals came through a wire in the wall and television signals came over the air.

But in the horror movies the phones would be out of range anyway.

But my friends will think I’m weird walking around looking at my empty hand!

Then a bear came into the firelight with its belly ringing.

Gaging most of the comment I would guess most of you are twice my age. And I just turned 60 this week.
