I read an article the other day about what would happen if we had a nuke war today. Still bad, but not the end of the world. Seems the US and Russia have reduced the number of nukes that each country has to the point that a total nuclear exchange would not destroy the world now. Which is good.
The world as I knew it pretty much came to an end about 18 months ago. I dare say that’s the case for a lot of people, and it’s not getting any much better…
What? Is that something small boys do? Let the air out of tires?? As a small boy I think I did just about everything small boys do (except fall out of a tree and break my arm), and then some (sneak a cigareet—big mistake), but it never would have crossed my mind to let the air out of tires.
I am aware that the uber-rich are thinking about/planning for it by making very sizeable investments in New Zealand that will grant them residency status. New Zealand was rated as one of the best/safest places to be if the apocalypse should come.
While the planet may not be destroyed, like the smoke plume that has circumnavigated the planet, so shall radiation that has a half life of 600 years. In the CF we were taught to inject ourselves with anto radiation goop from a tube into our thigh. All that to live 24 more hours to do our damnedest. No one gets out alive. Embrace the darkness.
Let’s get back to tires: I remember and old Dennis the Menace cartoon: In the background is his dad’s car with one flat tire. Dennis is telling his friend “I just found a new way to blow up balloons.”

It will be the end of the world as you know it, Calvin. It will go on the same for the rest of us.

Somehow Mom will get a nuclear war started as punishment for slashing the tires.

An angry mom is MUCH scarier than a nuclear war to a six year-old.

You’ll just have too let the air out of the tires again to find out, Calvin.

Have you ever noticed what car tire air smells like? Be honest now. Would you recognize it if you smelled it?
(yeah, I would)

I just fixed my tires ( plugs after pulling out nails after roofing ) and it takes 700 pumps with a bicycle pump to pump up a tire

I think about the end of the world as I know it pretty much all the time. I think it started when I heard Elvis died. I miss Robin Williams too.
