“It’s not the mask I mind…” it is the lies, the contradictions every 5 minutes, it’s the dictatorial mandates, it’s the threat of my job being lost… how much longer before special “isolation” camps?
Get the shot, everyone. This could have been over months ago. It even could have been stopped a year ago if everyone would have masked & distanced for a few months. So much selfishness :-(.
I have a terrible time recognizing people by their faces at the best of times. Add in a mask and I don’t have a clue who anyone is. If I wasn’t the one who does the hiring at my job, I wouldn’t even be sure I had the same co-workers now that I had before the pandemic started, and I work with them every day. Social life I gave up on very early on, after introducing myself to my sister and asking her on a date. I didn’t know who she was. Fortunately she can identify people so no major damage done, though i get a lot of familial teasing now.
As an introvert, this has been a good time for me. Telemedicine by Zoom, grocery delivery/pickup, restaurant delivery/pickup and communicating with people but not having to be around them that much. And I do not feel as worn out as I used to.

Why does no one ever retired from that company? Or can they not afford to with the wages they received.

But then again, we have to down to Costco in Nanaimo and that’s about 100km. But we can go on Wednesday when it won’t be so crowded.

Same here being alone most of the time is fine with me. No psychological problems. Social distancing—-been doing that already.
