This is my current project manager to a T. Our fifteen minute catchups almost always run an hour because he wants to know your weekend was, plans and/or do go-backs on your last time away from the office. When he’s on holiday, they take 15 minutes.
His “quick tasks” are usually red herrings… something he thinks is wrong but is WAD and it takes me half a day to discover that because it’s not in my part of the system.
His primary task, I believe, is to allow me to retire and not miss working.
