    Yes, it will offend her. She’s not as wealthy as many of her cohorts in Congress but she’s probably better off than 95% of Americans and will be in the 1% within a few years.

    The dolt wore a “Tax the Rich” dress at the Met Gala, which is where the wealthy gather each year like the swallows to Capistrano. The dress should have said “Party with the Rich”.

    I’m not even beginning to think of looking up senator’s net worths but Moscow Mitch is far from poor. Mostly married into money but also they know the tricks of protecting their wealth from the IRS

    People with higher incomes do in fact pay the highest average effective tax rates. Taxpayers with incomes over $200,000 paid 58.9% of all federal income taxes, despite the fact that those high-earners only accounted for about 4.5% off all returns filed.
