Hot butter, that’s one convincing lobster! Good thing it was discovered early, and couldn’t get emboiled in political infighting.

Just an act, put on for the tourists. Because, tourists will believe anything about the locals, which gives the locals something to laugh about all winter.

You’re not a town native, Amelia, we can’t expect you to understand. :P

2nd panel: “Radishes” as an expression of disdain? I happen to like them! Why couldn’t she say “Okra!”

I’m sure that shortly after the discovery of the man behind the talking lobster, Snug Harbor had its first annual lobster boil.

Love it when Amelia says Radishes. She tones it down because it’s a family strip.

People in small towns need something to believe in. Why not a talking lobster?

Hey, there have been actual cats and dogs elected as mayor, so why not a lobster?

There are towns in Minnesota, California, and Kentucky that elected local dogs as their mayors. The one in California has been mayor for 8 years. Must be doing something right.
