    Thus the reason we eat that part in the dark and cook the rest of it in the oven. If we judged all wrinkly red things with prejudice nothing would ever happen.

    That’s a wild turkey, farm turkeys are white.

    A parrot is less related to a turkey than a human is to a gibbon. Also Moondog isn’t killing the bird himself so it’s not like he ever had to look it in the eye.

    We raised cattle and would often keep a heifer to feed up. I never had a problem eating Elsie or Daisy.

    That is a natural lean turkey. The turkey we eat are albinos, with an oversized breast bone to make it impossible to fly and cannot survive in the wild. No turkeys were served in the first and only Thanksgiving meal.
