Fortunately, my wife’s not like that at all. Before I refinished the kitchen cabinets the light over the sink was a small fluorescent tube behind a decorative trim piece that ran between the cabinets in front of the window. She wanted that trim piece gone so I took it out. She thought that was great, but ask me if I could put a light in the ceiling over the sink since the other light was gone. So after a few trips crawling around in the attic, running a wire, cutting a hole in the ceiling and installing a nice little flush mount light she was most appreciative.
When I was young enough to do such DIY projects the only things I refused to do was touch anything electrical or plumbing that was more involved than I knew how to handle. NOT going to kill myself, burn down the house or flood it to save a few $$$. That’s what pros are for.

Know what I mean?
Yes. Therefore, I just cped yesterday’s QotD.
That was my mother – “And why haven’t you done the other thing I’ve told you to do (about 5 minutes ago) yet?”

Well, it was the closest thing to stand upon. Did you expect him to scrape the floor or carpet with a ladder from the garage?

I can see why he installed the bug light. Hope it works, but it doesn’t seem like it.
