    My son once had to write a report on the Crusades. The bad news was that I was in the habit of proofing his work, and I recognized the source material he clearly copied from.

    True story: In World Literature we had to do oral book reports. One day someone reported on Ivanhoe. The next day I took the PSAT and there was a question about the major characters in Ivanhoe. I had never read it but was able to answer because I remembered the names from the previous day’s class.
