Yeah, you’re lucky you can go bare pawed all the time. Although you do have those built in pads that help in bad weather. Buying shoes can, occasionally, be a trial if they’re for something special. However, I’m not nearly as picky as I used to be.

Since there seem to be no other customers, maybe Mrs. Dear is just keeping the sales person company.

Took a young lady shoe shopping many ,many years ago ! She also could not decide which pair of shoes to get ;-)

Well, she does have a Karen-ish hair style. Just sayin’.

I know how ‘Fred’ feels—went through a VERY, VERY similar situation with my wife but ONLY ONCE ! ! ! !

Some people are very picky. I’m getting some chairs reupholstered and a woman was there looking over every one of the thousands of fabric samples for exactly the right shade of purple, in a specific pattern she couldn’t define. After she left, I was told it was her sixth visit.

Three things I really hate are shoe shopping, clothes shopping and getting my hair cut. At least I can’t be accused of being a stereotypical female.

Let’s hope the salesman has a foot fetish so he’s getting at least a little pleasure from all this.

And.. if she does buy, will not leave a tip. Yet the waitress who delivers a cup of coffee expects one.

The wrong pair of shoes can cripple your feet. If the heel is too high you wind up not wearing them. Too low and you feel short and stumpy. For formal wear, the wrong color or style and your outfit is ruined. A daily, regular pair especially needs to meet a lot of requirements to be useful. A great pair of shoes makes you feel like a million bucks (billion in this economy). Best to take your time and get them right since you have to live in them.

I haven’t bought shoes in a store where a sales person helps you like that in years, maybe 20.

I usually get the same kind of shoes everytime I go into the store, but I don’t go shoe shopping very often. Would the salesperson love me or hate me?

But if she finds what she likes, she’ll get 4 pairs!

There are some deeply, deeply weird comments on this fairly innocuous strip about a woman being particular about what shoes she buys. An awful lot of people pushing their political and personal agendas on a comic strip that doesn’t mention any of them.

I once worked in a shoe store, I soon quit and found a job catching chickens.
