I take it that “Lou Rudd” is meant to recall “lurid”? There’s a TV reporter in these parts whose name sounds like “Lurid Goose,” which always makes me think he’s adopted an alias inspired by Bobby London’s Dirty Duck.
Those upper-level managers must have been Long Players. And I notice another person (real or imaginary) born the same year that I was, has croaked before me!
