I’ve been commenting on Fred Basset on “Red and Rover by Brian Basset”.

On Monday, I mentioned that it is forty-five years since I discovered Fred Basset and that I remember the 1970s much better than the 1960s as I was only three when the ‘70s replaced the ’60s. This is because Red and Rover reflects Brian’s memories of the ’60s and ’70s.

On Thursday, someone referred to some British newspapers and I replied that I read the Daily Mirror where Andy Capp originated and the Daily Mail where Fred Basset originated. Someone asked me, “Do you like Fred Basset?” I replied today that I do indeed enjoy Fred Basset as do millions of others around the world.

Looks like Charlie Brown lives there too. Isn’t that one of his shirts on the clothesline?

maybe Kitty and Jock could figure out a routine!
