Strangely, I’ve used a lot of trig. Not much on x’s and y’s. Never had to worry about Train A leaving Timbuktu and Train B leaving Fishkill or anything like that.
If a high-school student can somewhat master algebra and geometry many of life’s problems will not seem more difficult than those encountered in those two subjects.
