What you do is time it so the cable collector shows up right when the e-cycling is collected. Because if there’s only one thing you can count on the cable company showing up for promptly on time, it’s collection.

Test patterns were relevant to adjusting the magnets and high voltage bias on the Vidicon tube in early TV cameras. They were cathode ray tubes that were scanned by an electron beam. The resulting image, made up of 525 lines (US) was then transmitted to viewers where it was decoded and scanned by another electron beam to phosphors on the receiving TV. There: a one line explanation of a technically difficult concept.
