Spare us the playoffs. (Playdowns in Gilspeak) R&W have set a Guinness world record in milking this storyline for as long as they have. Poolside lemonade on Monday or bust!
Trade Off: We won’t talk about you, Judge Crater, but, you have to let us have an exclusive interview with the kid just before he chokes in the State Championship game. Keep that Heather, kid, away!
On Monday’s Milford Masterpiece Theater, always a Quinn Martin Production, Gil and Kaz discuss the first playdown opponent and who will toe the rubber since Gonzo is unavailable.
P1- Lou Grant is annoyed. Match Game called. Stuck in a dead end job, no Delorean, skewing off out of this time continuum isn’t plausible.
My question is, what class school is Milford supposed to be? Is Gilpa the AD? Does he coach every sport? His assistant in all sports apparently teaches a class, while going back decades to when I was in school, and schools(at least where I grew up, did not have an AD and coaches also taught classes. I recently read about a local class 3 school that not only has a full time AD, but each sport has a different coach, some of whom apparently do not teach classes
What the héll? THAT’S what we get for the title-clinching game? One panel after the game is over? I was going to say that since there are only 6 strips left for Rubin, there’s no way they win the State Championship. But based on today’s panel 3, they could easily cover the whole tournament by Thursday. Rubin may want to go out in a blaze of glory. But I’m still sticking with my prediction of the traditional one-and-done for Milford teams. And we still have to find out what The Hammburgler’s trade-off is for Lou Grant not exposing his secret identity (despite the fact that Lou didn’t really seem to even care). And speaking of caring, I hope that you care that today’s Mopped Up Thorp is ready.
P2: "…a tradeoff. It sucks, but I have to infiltrate that obtuse, vile bunch of “commenters,” and skillfully steer them to have favorable opinions of the new writer. It should obviously be a snap, but I don’t think I can tolerate the syntax issues I may face. They kept bringing up the name Vito, and a flamethrower, so I said yeah, no sweat."
