I had the same dream when I was in the seventh grade. I even recruited a gang of boys to help me with it. We were going to build a rocket ship and go to the moon. The design came mostly from Eleanor Cameron’s Mushroom Planet stories.
Boog shouldn’t take welding lessons from Slim, assuming Slim can weld at all.
The metal junk parts are from all the cars Slim has destroyed over the years trying to repair them.
Boog has not been shown having a propensity for engineering.
