Eh. Just fresh hot non-yeast bread with stuff on it. Waffles win because they have more surface area that is nice and crispy AND the pockets hold more butter and syrup.

In my workplace years ago we had a vending machine for snacks and it had waffles, and next to it a coffee machine … around 9 or 10 o’clock I’d pick a waffle and coffee. The waffle was hard a bit so I used to put it on the coffee cup to let it be softer a bit. Later on, unintentionally, I’ve read the text on the waffle sachet and it said literally: Preferably placed on top of a cup of tea or coffee before consumption. shrug My first sensical moment ever – i made something that made SENSE without anybody pointing it out to me!!!!

Years ago Ernie wanted to go into the breakfast industry, but when he went to the bank he decided lunch looked more profitable. After securing his loan he went back to breakfast and now he is wondering if he might have should have changed his mind.

Good. No line for the waffles! I’d rather have those. Add pecans, real butter and real maple syrup….drool, drool…

    They’re selling like themselves.

Apparently the phrase originated in the 17th century when hotcakes very popular when sold after church on Sundays.

If you ever have a true Belgian waffle you will never go back to American waffles or pancakes.

Waffles are excellent if you have a great syrup.

Waffles are more fun to make, but take longer per batch unless you have an industrial-size waffle iron. They freeze well, I find, and can be reheated and re-crisped in the toaster or toaster oven.

I add chopped pecans into the batter. Also, any time there’s an overripe banana in the house, I peel, mash, and freeze it; I thaw them and mix them into the batter when waffle time comes round.
