Sounds like some of the people who comment on the strips. If you had to do 365 strips a year, year after year, you’re going to write/draw a stinker every now and then.
This is why I get aggravated at some posters…try to do a comic strip everyday and let me know how it works out for you❗️ There are some posters who always make snide remarks about the toon and or analyze the meaning or pick it apart and insult the creator!
It cartoonland…go with it….and this goes for all the “grammar police” too. We are here to enjoy and laugh, not to be critiqued, which spoils the fun!
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen comments advancing this curious notion that we shouldn’t critique a cartoon because we ourselves have never tried being cartoonists. That makes as much sense as if someone told me I shouldn’t comment on the quality of a restaurant meal because I’m not a chef, or on various aspects of a movie because I’m not a screenwriter, actor or director.
I’m never snide, and I’d never insult a cartoonist directly, but as a consumer of the product the cartoonist produces, I’m entitled to make a negative comment. If I feel the art or the writing is of poor quality, or that the joke has been poorly executed — or worse, that the joke is so bad it should have been left on the cutting room floor — there’s nothing wrong with saying so.

The Hell joke Ziggy ran yesterday was much funnier.

Hmm, shouldn’t the cartoonist be more rashed, in the heat? ;)

I would NEVER make a disparaging comment about our hard working comic strip writers. (But, seriously, wouldn’t all of the paper burn up in hell?)
:) :) :) :)

How about the pressure of the directive to submit a new, and original, one-palm desert island with one or two castaways?

I’m trying to figure out if the typo in the last bubble was intentional. If so, brilliant!
