Instead of taking a drive with your #$%^ freaking phone!!!

I have a cell phone—an old-style flip phone. It usually lives in my purse, but I put it in my pocket when I go on a walk … but I don’t turn it on! I almost never turn it on. It’s there to call 911 if (God forbid) I ever need to … and the occasional pizza order while driving home.

Went from one phone per 20 or so homes, to party lines, to a base with extensions in every home. Now there’s one – or more – per person. For much of society, it appears the last item represents just more of an addition to noise and distraction, but not a significant improvement in the quality of life.

I take my phone with me when I walk – it’s a piece of emergency equipment.

I think I am still averaging about one call per day – that’s both in and outbound. However I get at least a half dozen texts a day with codes needed to log into my various accounts.

So basically you’re walking your phone, instead of a dog.

WRONG! Just about everything is an obsession or addiction in our society today.

Cells, video games, drugs, eating……

OUTSIDE???? It’s scary out there. There’s grass and trees and bushes and…and….and….gasp………………..REAL PEOPLE!!!

I sure miss the days when parents had to struggle to get us kids inside the house.

Let the dog take you for a walk.

And to walk into traffic with your head down. (Guilty)

The phone is more fun!

You talking to me? Not sure my boss would like that…

That’s new way to say go play in traffic.
