If you drop a real book while in the bathtub it can be recovered and finished. Dropping a Kindle, iPad, iPhone is the same as flooding the library to the point it gets washed away.
Interesting how little some people value reading. And fyi, neither kindle nor nook give off such glare as to keep the person next to you awake. Both allow you to highlight. The most popular highlights feature can be turned off. I love physical books but ran out of bookshelf space long ago.
At what point did Arlo and Janis switch sides of the bed? I was under the impression that once a married couple made this important decision, it was for life.

You can’t underline the good parts on a Kindle.

Which makes for a good excuse for Janis.

With other acivities, it is easier to tell if she has finished?

Janis is so rude. She should pull the covers over her head so that the light doesn’t keep Arlo awake.

Arlo, you sly dog.

Reading really isn’t a hobby in which one is too demonstrative.

Reading an ebook after going to bed is an invitation for Delayed Sleep Phase syndrome. After all, it is just another form of staying up late.

I bought a Kindle shortly after they came out. It lasted a day or so past the warranty date. Amazon said “Tuff luck”. I said “Once bitten”….
