i would suggest digital art where it is easy to erase things and printing it out when over – but honestly, the best I could draw in my whole life are: nose, beak, one eye. Tried to do a portrait one time of a friend just to train my hand a bit…. the guy turned into a dog. shrug
Perhaps your own “Vision”. Versions of a vision might be interesting. Contemporary vertere? (Yes, I found that via Google). Global and culturally sympathetic takes? Ok, time for me to cut off the coffee.
A guy just won the Colorado State fair art competition with “drawings” produced by AI software. The user gives it a description the subject in natural language and, voila. I imagine it takes a few iterations. His product looked like good illustration. So, hyperthyroid Virgin Mary in a pastoral setting?
That’s ok! Amanda forgot that she was supposed to be drawing Mary, and was working on a different project instead; Rodney Dangerfield dressed in drag! ☺️
I’m impressed with ANYBODY who can draw something remotely like what it was intended to be. Amanda’s characters are what they are, and we all LOVE them here on ATG!
A rabbi told me that when Jesus turned the water into wine at the wedding in Cana, she demonstrated the truth that a Jewish mother could tell God what to do.

Not to argue here, but I bet those eyes are fabulous. I have trouble believing you struggle to draw anything!
