Excellent comeback, Rover.

I’ve been reading the comments on yesterday’s strip. I suggested that Red was born at or around the same time as Brian Basset so he would have been ten towards the end of 1967 and the main setting would be 1968 as he would have been ten for most of that year. This was because he is referred to as ten on Wiki. Someone later suggested that the strip is set between 1969 and 1975.

I remember a story arc last year which dated itself to 1967 at the latest as Red spoke of the One-Armed Man on The Fugitive as not having been caught so far. The date of 1975 refers to a reference to Jaws. The strip may therefore be set between 1967 at earliest and 1975 at latest. Possibly, Red was six in 1967 and fourteen in 1975.

Be grateful, Red!!

I like Rover’s method of smelling his own breath! Think I’ll try it! (Yeah, right!)

I can be quite a “shock” when you see what you actually look like, hear what you actually sound like, smell what you actually smell like – or experience how you look, sound, smell, and taste to others.

I love dogs, but I’ve never been able to enjoy their licking my face. I’ve yet to know a dog who wouldn’t do it if I let them, so I just enjoy doing other things to interact with them.

I have a dog and he walk by my side all the time I am out in the open, I see on tv very often how the actors kiss the dog or let them lick their faces, I find that disgusting.
