I have never had that problem with 3 of my 4, now the Husky is a picky eater, as apparently is Fred.

Have a Samoyed that goes nuts over canned green beans with canned pumpkin.

I think that every male dog I’ve had would eat anything and everything, especially if it was “people food”. The females have tended to be more cautious.
